Sterling Pre-shave soap?

Slickness is a sickness
I have a bar of menthol, rub it on my wet face (or head), add a bit more water to create a thin lather with my hands, then lather on top of it with my brush and shaving soap...occasionally.

I'm not sure it works any better than using any other quality soap for a pre-shave wash, as my shaves feel the same.

I shaved a fortune
I've been using my Stirling pre-shave for the past few weeks.... I have noticed, it lathers OK if I use a Lot of it.... I have it melted into a Captain's Choice Soap Locker and apply with a brush.... I had been using the Cube 2.0, also melted into another Soap Locker.... I doubt I'll be buying another puck from Stirling... I love their unscented soap with beeswax.. and their Sheep unscented... But I prefer how the Cube 2.0 lathers.

I have tried using and not using pre-shaves..... They make a difference for me, but others find no difference... It's one of those subjective YMMV things. I also find the Grooming Department's and the Baume.be pre-shave to be marvelous... But they are a bit more expensive...
