Happy to assist brother. The Supers are definitely not the choice for an easy mindless shave but it does give you a close on. The Supers are the only blade that I get a BBS on my neck area without buffing.View attachment 2025098
I had an amazing shave with the Feather Professional Super in the Shield AC razor. All thanks to @idjekyll who guided me on how to approach this shave with this blade. His advice was spot on. As long as I maintained a shallow angle and a very light touch, the blade performed exceptionally well. However, as soon as I missed my angle and went steeper, which happened on my neck a lot, the blade became rougher and a bit bite-y. Also, any slight additional pressure on the razor was met with almost immediate feedback from the blade: Caution, there buddy...any more and I WILL bite you!
Keeping @idjekyll 's words in mind, I made a concerted effort to maintain the angle shallow and the touch light. And with that I was able to pull off a nice DFS++ in two passes WTG with some minor touchups ATG.
I have to admit that my expectations weren't that high for the Feather Pro Super, but when handling this blade the right way, it is one of the best AC blades I have tried so far. I would rank it, tentatively, as No. 2 behind the Schick Proline. I do need to have a few more shaves with it though, to make a better informed judgement.
I'd like to thank @idjekyll for chiming in and letting me know how I should approach my shave with the Feather Professional Super. Without his advice my shave would have gone very different, as I'm used to go steep with the Shield AC. Thanks for guiding me in the right direction.
I almost forgot: No nicks, no irritation, no weepers, no aftershave sting. Extremely comfortable and a very close shave.
