Another fantastic shave yesterday evening with the Feather SR and the Kai blade.
Did the first pass with the straight, second lass with my titanium Diamondback, and then, in an odd twist, did clean-up with the Feather SR.
Lather was Soapy Science again, but this time in the lollipop citrus scent.

DFS. 😁

I've only had one bad shave and that was because of a bad blade. I changed the blade and back to effortless near BBS. These are great razors. They tempt me to collect the colors. :001_tt1:

They are a bit too expensive for that in my neck of the woods. I think from the UK you would have to get them direct from Italy now at €85 a pop plus shipping. Probably for the best as otherwise I would be thinking along similar lines to you! All the colours look great - mine is a bit of a plain jane by comparison but it was the only option available when I bought it so it saved me from having to make a choice.

I do find that the preset angle is a bit steeper than I usually opt for, so I have to be mindful not to apply pressure or thingy can get scrapey. I find that also means the razor benefits from a sharper blade than I tend to use in other 1/2 DE shavettes, as that allows me to keep things nice and light.

It's definitely its own thing compared to a typical swingback or push-type shavette, but the results from it are always excellent. It's very forgiving for a 1/2 DE shavette imo too. Today was darn near BBS - no blood or irritation - just a chin-strokingly satisfying result!

This Gutche looks that it is working great for you. I think @Halfbeard likes it a lot. I have bought 3 Shavettes for this A77 blade and only one is working good for me. I am a bit hesitant to get this one, but I surely do like its shape.

It has a lot more heft / weight than the plastic insert ones. Feels substantial in the hand. I'm only doing downstrokes and some upstrokes right now. Every day without a weeper is a success. LOL

Omega 10108 Boar - Nannys Silly Soaps 'Down Home Summer' - Focus Slim Al/Med Prep - Lustray Coachman

Down Home Summer is a strange name for this soap. It sounds as if it should be citrus based but is in fact Lavender and Vetiver which gives the soap a balanced earthy scent. An excellent shave with the focus. It is still my favourite 1/2 DE razor

Same players as on 03 September, except for the brush which is a Semogue 1438 boar. Really like the feel of the knot as it builds lather on the palm. Becoming my favorite brush for this reason. Ergonomics are not bad either. Second shave with the Crown Super Stainless blade and while it still felt a bit raw, it seems to have mellowed a bit. Very nice, close shave with no overlooked patches this time. Looks like I've returned to form in using this shavette.

I like Shark Super Stainless, Shark Platinum, and Lord Super Stainless. Of the selection, the only ones I’ve tried are Shark Super Stainless, Shark Platinum, and Lord Super Stainless…

They all look good to me and I think operator error is the only way to go wrong (it’s also the only way I’ve gone wrong with Shark Super Stainless and Shark Platinum…).
