I don’t see how stating that I lost the thread jams anyone.
I'll apologize for using terms that seemed harsh.
My intent was to point out to the OP, and to others that negative comments in someone's journal and diaries just seems off to me personally and I'd rather folks just didn't read someone's journal as opposed to posting negative comments in it.
I wanted to ENSURE that the OP understood that he could post his ramblings here without being called out, as opposed to having those ramblings out in the open forums where they tend to derail threads.

I understand. But I’d first have to read some of it to decide that I didn’t want to read more of it. And I was sincere: I lost the thread of the thread.

No worries. You outrank me.

I`m making Birch Tar liquid Castile soap and a massage oil mixed with chilli seed oil, black pepper oil, ginger oil, clove oil, turmeric oil, eucalyptus globulus oil, valerian oil, blue lotus oil, tonka bean oil, camphor oil and salvia divinorum (sacred sage) they are all highly analgesic, anti-inflammatory, cicatrisant , vasodilators, bulbar and endocrinological stimulants and soporific so should be useful for my more mature clients and friends with bone and muscle maladies and also very efficacious for CNS and CV damage and disorders.

It has to be ready for the end of the week because I`m going to town to dispense it this weekend.
The amber glass bottles finally landed a day late so I`m good to go.

Oh just thought of something - when I come back from the all-night lock-in in the pub I could carry it on and go on a mini-sesh weekend because I have two friends with mini-bars with beer pumps and loos in the garden and we all need a good catch-up and loosen out man.

The Dragon will love it because she can have a chin-wag with the gals etc.

They`re only a ten-fifteen minute walk away so no need for taxis - just crawl home on auto-pilot - eventually - dancing is good exercise and cheers us all up.

Just don’t drink your home made massage oil.
Oh the Birch tar and chilli one - nope but It`s all natural high quality oils and I won`t make it more than a 1-2% mix because I don`t want any skin reactions - the bay rum will be drinkable though - I`ll make sure of that - been a herbalist with two org chem and phytopharmacology degrees since the mid-eighties haha - not harmed anyone yet or got sued haha !

The massage oils just go through the skin into the capillaries then into the general circulation anyway - like a transdermal nicotine patch but far more efficacious - different route to oral but ultimately even more effective because it bypasses the 10% hydrochloric chyme in the stomach and large intestine but still goes through the pancreas, liver and kidneys for excretion plus through the lungs which disinfects them like Somalian Boswellia Carterii frankincense for example.

I always take medical history notes and have prescription drug half-life tables so as to avoid allergies and contraindications - one must do the homework and be safe at all times.

Plus I have my regulars medical histories on my phone anyway and won`t give it willy-nilly to strangers - too risky.

First of all apologies for not posting - my Asus Rog laptop finally died after being on 24/7 for 43800+ hours - over five years - I give my PC's, cars, bikes and stereo's no mercy and it was like losing a family pet - Awww faithful poor little thing !

So I had no 'puter all week and had to get a silver Asus i7 'get me by' lapdog from Very on Black Friday.

The Yuma YM-401 arrived from Bulgaria and was a bit tatty so I polished the top plate a bit - not mirror finish shiny but a definite improvement - I'll mount it on a heavier handle on it's first outing - I absolutely adore Yuma's and got a copper plated stainless handle and put a blue metallic ceramic closed comb head on it then mounted a Yaqi Flipside combination open comb / closed comb which I love because they're so versatile; I've got 4 Flipside's now.

Plus I've got a handmade Chinese bamboo root (not stem) handle on order which is different and looks lovely and some more nice new razors and heads - they should be here before Christmas.

So, altogether I've got three different heads and five more razors coming then I'll just probably get another couple of frags for the festive season.

Oh by great demand me and The dragon have made another six aftershaves - three bay rum ones and three mystery freaky ones - we're both getting more into the nuances and balancing the notes better and people that have smelt them say they're unusual and better than shop-bought scents; they're certainly unique - just ask Cal haha !

I could give a couple away on here then make another batch when I get some more Red Leg Jamaican spiced rum which I'll need to get to drink anyway and my Jamaican pals adore it so I'll need at least 3-4 litres which is dear but so so worth it.

Finally did the Castile soaps, perfumes, aftershaves, scented candles, a gallon of Winter herbal tonic, some embrocations, tisane mixes, liquid extracts and prescription herbal pills for my regulars - it all went in less than an hour in the pub !

It took me all week to do 'em all then gave them all out last night and didn`t stay long because I couldn't handle an all-nighter - too tired and we're both very busy atm with Shelter, Crisis and the Churches - so we're both very weary but happy and content.

Take expensive, matching or custom individual razor stands for instance - I' m just a simple caveman and they're superfluous to me but I can understand the raison d'etre of the avid collector / shaving enthusiast.

A lot of pedantic OCD folks must typically have the razor in the stand at 90 degrees and it must be the same colour/material/style as the razor handle but I don't mind if it's not matching or at a slight angle and l prefer a wide inkwell stand than can accommodate a wide assortment of handle widths; otherwise every handle/base must be available, clean and dried - life's too short and I love variety.

To me shaving has be fun, varied and spontaneous; not scientific and ultra analytical - things change and people should be adaptable if things go pear-shaped otherwise creatures of habit will encounter obstacles and problems which will be difficult or impossible for them to surmount.

I'm making a few iterations of a Yaqi Beast head this weekend for a giggle - I have six different Mellon and DOC heads and five brands of CC/OC combi heads to play with.

But invariably I just close my eyes and reach out to my two 7 bay racks and pick a random shaver with the first available blade and then I'm not bored.

I can already shave with anything and everything gets utilised so I literally take the rough with the smooth and don't just use the best ones so it keeps me focused and versatile.

I'm used to shaving drunk with antique carbon cut-throats with no mirror, no water and no electricity in a war zone so any DE safety is a piece of cake to me.

The other night I was in the bath on a Shiraz vibe and used a Yuma with a Feather with my eyes closed - didn't get one nick - you just get used to the feel and sound ; I never use a mirror.

I play my sax drunk with my eyes shut in clubs and can sharpen knives just by feel and the sound on the diamond plate, ceramic or JNAT.

I sharpen drill bits freehand with a mains 11000 RPM Makita 4" angle grinder with no gloves or goggles or ear defenders - on Stolichnaya vodka - been doing it since '79 - I was in a 19th Century village forge making countless nails, horse-shoes, axes and scythes when I was fourteen - I made over a 100 carbon and stainless knives before I was twenty - I love Sharpies !

I don't need drugs - I'm a herbalist - vodka and Polish rectified 98% volume - 196% proof spirit will do me just fine - I do booze runs to Krakow, Poland because it's frowned upon here and £100 a litre !

I used to type my newspaper articles or go on forums on Spirytus Rektyfikowany- love it - I'm stocking up for Christmas - it's a five times stronger kick than Whisky, Vodka or Bourbon.I used to still type seeing three 1BM model M keyboards but couldn't have spelling mistakes - got an IBM model M graveyard upstairs - funny !

Here's one of my other hobbies but stopped hoarding now - this is just half the kitchen knives and not the other 150 pairs of scissors, carving knives and vintage knives in boxes wouldn't fit on the table haha !

TONY WYTHENSHAWE HALL 24-11-2024 - two.jpg

Went to the Hall in my local park with my brother the other week !

My brother came up 300 miles from the Isle of Wight in the English Channel to see me in Manchester, NW England and there's a lovely park a ten minute walk away with a 16th Century manor house - I am blessed; we had a lovely afternoon in the 250 acre park amongst the majestic mature trees and ornate gardens.

This is my brother outside the hall just before closing at 4pm last Sunday.

Right above my brother's head is a 16th Century Minsrel's Gallery and there are suits of 400 year old armour upstairs - amazing !
