Recomendations for a shaving soap/creme with a nice masculine scent?

I guess this is going to depend on what you consider a manly smell. The GF smelled Tabac when I first got it and went "ohhh that's manly, I like it" While other people feel that while the shave you get from Tabac is excellent it needs to be aired out in your garage for a month before being allowed inside. T&Hs Grafton I find very nice and lets be honest is there anything more manly than Old Spice?

+ 1 on Tabac and +1 on the T&H Grafton, good enough for Sir Winston Churchill (manly enough at least until I can find out what Patton or Teddy Roosevelt used)good enough for me.
Modern classic Old Spice is plenty manly but if you can get hold of some vintage pre formula change(Shultan) or Indian Old Spice you've just kicked up the manly by 20%.

if they have Taylor ofOld Bond St. products pick up the Mr. Taylors. you'll luv it.

d.r. harris? i use lavender, luv it. Windsor is themost popular. this soap is excellent, triple milled so it lasts quite long

Thanks for all the tips! I ended up buying:

Geo f. Trumper's Sandalwood Skinfood. Taylor's pre-shave oil, a plastic drip stand fro my brush and a pack of Feathers for my DE. Great little shop I found. We got talking about straight razors and the owner offered to put me in touch with his honing guru. Nice bloke.

If you're interested, I took a picture of my gear last night. You can see it in my profile stuff.

While I was there I had a quick sniff of the Arlington series from (trumper?) - very nice. I might try it when I need a new soap puck.

If there are any Danish dudes in this forum, the shop is in Silkeborg, and has a great selection of shaving (DE) hardware and mens skin care, mostly from the well known british brands.

Happy Shaving...

Tabac - reminds me of my granddad.
GFT Violet - very masculine, but on a totally different level than Tabac.
GFT Eucris - very masculine (but the soap I had was not a great performer).

Nice Gear! you might want to post it to some of the 'shave den' threads if you are into that sort of stuff.
