RazoRock Hawk V3

I think the Hawk v3 Regular and A plates are a great value and shave great. Vector Lite is closer to the hawk A. Although never did a side by side. Not sure why Hawk doesn’t get as much love prob because SE less popular than a DE such as their Gamechanger or Lupo.
Cause most people don't seem to understand still, that all ac blades prefer to be shaved shallow!!! Some people are just hell bent on shaving steep cause that what thier faces can tolerate. If you ride the cap on the hawk v3 then it will feel sublime, and that is why it doesn't get alot of love ( it's misunderstood and completely utterly misused by gentleman on this forum site. Not meaning to start an argument fellas, just calling what I've encountered and read on b&b)

Just to add weight to this, the only AC razor I have is the Spirit and that thing shaves so shallow that the handle is almost perpendicular to the face but it shaves oh so very smooth and efficient. I really don't get it, it seems like steep shavers are just so dogmatic about it but shallow shavers just don't mind going steep if shallow doesn't work. It's so weird.

I agree, sadly my face can't handle steep and I get massive irritation. It's all personal preference as we say, bitbfor ac blades it's always better going shallow and letting the blade do its thing at the proper angle of attack! The spirit seems nice and like a good daily driver. I just wish steep shavers would stop hating but then we wouldn't have fun debates lol

Thanks to a trade with another fine B&B member, I now have a Hawk v3 and some Kai "Captain Titan Mild" AC blades. I have used it twice so far, and I can say I quite enjoy the shave with this razor with the standard plate.

This is my first experience with the AC blade format, and it seems similar to me to shaving with an injector (I have a Supply Pro and vintage Schick adjustable injector).

The shave isn't super close but very comfortable, and the razor is very easy to use and I experienced no irritation. I look forward to trying the "A" plate.

So far I'm a fan of the AC blade format.

pop a schick proline blade in there once you get the A plate and watch how much more efficent it is, while still remaining comfortable. Once you've experimented, let us know your thoughts and how you feel then and if at that point, you feel the need for a more expensive AC razor or if the hawk series would be more than enough for your daily needs please 😎

Currently I only have the Kai mild AC blades, and they seem good to me so far. I have the A plate for it and want to try that next. The Hawk seems to be a very high quality tool for sure!

So I used the Hawk v3 with the A plate this morning, and the A plate seemed easier for me to use. Really a nice shave!
i'm assuming more efficent than the standard plate right? i'm waiting to purchase a new hawk A plate cause blackland is gonna introduce the old x1 slant. I'm most likely gonna grab the hawk again unless the x1 blows me away. I'm glad the A plate works better for you. As always make sure you shave shallow
