Proraso discontinuations question, what and why

I am totally a fan of the Proraso soaps and creams. I have used the green and red products. Not yet the blue and white scents. I hear that they are great too. The Red Sandalwood i always make sure to keep in my stash. It’s solid and dependable. Great scent and performance. Awesome during the colder months.
I’ve read about their newer one or single blade creams.... higher end. Saw they cost about 20 dollars thru Amazon. Anybody here have info on it?
How good are they?

They smell nice and are good, but don't kid yourself into thinking these are top tier performers like some artisan soaps made today. No way, no how.

That’s sort of how I figured they’d be for the price they cost. Like the original soaps, decent product but not much more. Thanks for the info Bogeyman!

I have a tube of the new Red. I will give it a try in the morning.
I got a chance to try the "New" Proraso Red. The new formulation is better. The scent is more mild. No indication of irritation. The cream seems to be more fussy and drier. I had to work more to get the lather to a acceptable level. I would expect that there will be many complaints for this new cream. I would buy any old stock that you can.

I've not heard of a new formulation for Proraso products.
There was a restyling but the formulation was the same.

Can you post a picture of the ingredient list?

You are talking about the 2012 reformulation.
Now I know why I was confused.
Seriously. I'm reading page 1 wondering whether I'll like the new formulation, when I realize it happened like 7 years ago!

Perhaps we should organize memorial service for the old Proraso on the 10 year anniversary. It may help some people get closure.
