The thread works normally, but looks ugly.

That’s by design.

Is this a design feature or a defect in my Henson mild version 2?

There is a vertical slot or groove in the threading of the cap on my new Henson mild version 2, picture attached. There is no such groove or slot on my Henson mild version 1. Is this a defect or a design feature? I emailed Henson to ask a day or two ago, and have not received a reply yet...

Ha...just had to look at mine...never noticed it.

It makes sense ... dont take much to booger up aluminum threads.

I would be disgusted beyond belief to have such an awful thread on any of my razors!

That's why I have an old school Henson that laughs about your degenerated modern fancy design.

The pre-pandemic razors are just made right, I tell you!

But I strive to be a helpful gentlemen, let me tell you an easy fix:

1. screw cap and baseplate together
2. ideally also load a blade
3. do 2. before 1.
4. Magic
5. INVISIBLE THREAD
