The old STF only had one density option. ++ density only applies to the new, plant-based fiberThe extra dense new version splays marginally better than the old extra dense, or the old regular density?

I'm comparing the new STF XL Dense ++ 37% plant-based fiber to the older STF XL regular density. The extra dense new version splays marginally better than the old extra dense, or the old regular density?
Im very much looking forward to your results.I'm comparing the new STF XL Dense ++ 37% plant-based fiber to the older STF XL regular density.
I have several dozen latherings of the older STF and just finished the sixth shave on the new ++. I don't believe it's reached its final form yet, but I'm liking the new fiber very much: looks, bloom, and face feel. It splays easily and continues the STF tradition of great flowthrough. If the old fiber is a 95, then the new one's a 98. I'm keeping both in the lineup, especially since the older brush has a Rudy Vey handle.Im very much looking forward to your results.
some might change a bit in the beginning, but not like a boar that needs 50 shaves to break in. 5-10 shaves tops imo, and don't expect a drastic change.Does synthetic knots need time to get better like animal hair does? Cause I have to say, the XL STF is pretty meh at the moment.
