Lord blades?

Thinking of trying a few of them out. Could someone please give a quick ranking of the following blades?

- Lord Super Stainless(White-blue box)/Classic (Green-blue box)
- Lord Platinum
- Lord Super Chrome
- Shark Stainless
- Shark Super Chrome
- Big Ben
- Crown
- ASCO

Try the Shark blades first. Either version of the Sharks will be fine and there is a debate if they are even the same blade just re-badged. Lord Platinum would be my next choice.

I would suggest the Lord Platinum and then The Lord Super Stainless. Big Ben (depending on which one), Asco and Crown are all the same as Lord Super Stainless. So that would be best option!.

I have some serious doubts about that one Dark. Where the Lord SS give me a great shave in 2 passes and are lovely ATG the Big Ben Stainless can't do the trick in 4; after 2/3 other passes they still can't go ATG without too much irritation. The Sharks don't do it for me either though I rate them significantly higher than the Big Bens.

I unfortunatelly don't have a sample of the big ben but I heard from many people that its a good blade. Demand is higher in other countries from what i know.

Big Ben blades are very ordinary indeed. Not worth trying IMO.

I've tried many of those on your list and the Lord Platinum is by far the best in my opinion.

Of the Lord Blades, I've only used the Shark Super Chromes. I get some real nice irritation free shaves with them. They are one of my top 3 blades and I like them enough that I picked up a couple hundred. For the price, they are hard to beat.

I've had great experiences with Shark Super Stainless, regardless of razor, and with Lord Racer blades when used in my EJ DE87 razor. I didn't have such god luck with the Racer blades in my Tech or SS, though I'm going to try them in those again, as well as in my Red Tip, Neillite 400, Slim and Super Adjustables,
and pretty much any other DE razors I have.

The Lord Super Stainless were really wretched blades, that badly tore my face up. The other 3 blades I have tried in the Lord line have been really nice quality blades. I have about 100 Shark Super Chromes in stock (which some sources indicate are just older stock of the Shark Super Stainless).

When I was in Iraq, I tried some of the blades that were available in the local economy. They had the Lord Big Ben and the Super Stainless. I used both of them. They are about the same to me. Sharp, smooth, but only good for about 3 to 4 shaves before you toss them. They are a bit unforgiving too.
