Favorite Lord Blade?

I've got a hundred Lord Rainbows I got for a song ages ago and I use 'em in my travel and grooming kits and they're fine; nice and smooth for me.

They remind me of living in Egypt in the nineties where I use all the Lord and Shark blades I could find at the time with a Lord L5 or L6 which did the job respectfully well.

I didn't have the time to muck about finding decent stones to set bevels and hone my straights at that juncture of my life so they gave me more freedom and flexibility which was grand.

The Lord Shark Platinum is my favorite Lord blade.

I did not get along with the other Sharks. I will revisit them again in the future.

Before I ever tried the Silver Star blades, I almost bought a hundred at $7.99 on Amazon. Before I completed that purchase, I found Nacets for $9.99ish (I don’t remember exactly). I am glad that I waited, as I prefer the Nacets to the Silver Star. The Silver Star blade was not that great for me. I shall revisit it again in the future, since it is so well liked.

It's a tie for first place between Silver Star & Shark Platinum , however all of the Shark
Varieties are really good when matched with the correct razor and I have several razors that match up very well with Shark blades.
Silver Star & Shark Platinum work really well
With just about any razor.

About a year ago, I did a shave out on a field of 18 blades. Shark platinum made it to the competition, the SS didn't make the cut.
First round was simple, I shave with the blade once. If I need moisturizer to sooth my face, it's out.
I got rid of 5 blades on that simple test.
Bottom line, I had 2 blades I liked best, the Lord Platinum, and the Personna Platinum.
I only get 3 really good shaves out of the Lord, but since they're $0.09 per blade and the Personna was $0.20 per blade (if I bought in lots of 200 blades) it was a no brainer. I'd have to get at least 7 good shaves out of the Personna to have it break even.
