Thank you for the post, Kevan. Kabinett reminded me of a bar soap scent I had used somewhere, perhaps in a German hotel, and I made an assumption that I shouldn't have. Glad to know that it is not an artificial fragrance; liked it anyway and now will like it even more!

Is the Klar Kabinett similar to Institut Karite which I have become a huge fan of especially with the moisturizing benefits and luxurious lather.

Tom, the ingredients list for the Kabinett (listed below) shows no shea butter, a key component in the Institut Karite. Anyhow, I've heard that it leaves a perfectly fine, soft feel.

Ingredients list for the Kabinett: Sodium Cocoate, Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Stearate, Potassium Stearate, Aqua, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Soyamide DEA, Parfum, Sodium Chloride, Amino-Tris (methylene phosphonic acid) Tetrasodium EDTA, Sodium Hydroxyde, Potassium Hydroxyde, CI 77891, Gerniol*, Benzyl Salicylate*, Citronellol*, Eugenol*
*from Parfum Oil

No Shea butter Marco, but it is a fantastic veggie soap IMHO. I hope you enjoy yours and let us know your thoughts on the later.

This is exactly what most wet shavers say! I'll definitely post my thoughts on this famous barbershop soap when Santa Claus will bring it under my tree...

The whole of B&B seems to be conspiring to get me to try this soap. I doubt you all can convince me, though.

First shave with it just now. Nothing short of fantastic.

I like the regular Klar soaps and they shave well too, but the Kabinett seems like a little bit above. I can't fault any aspect. The lather would convince even die-hard tallowheads that veggie soaps rule, too. Thick, creamy, billowy lather with my Rooney 3/1. A very slick shave and I didn't fear the Fatip at all. Post-shave feeling was as good as I've experienced this side of Cella or Tabac or MWF. This is one of the best soaps available in my opinion. Landed in my top 5 immediately.

Regarding the scent, from the listed ingredients it seems that they use perfume oil but both the description and the pictures at Fendrihan suggest that only natural ingredients are used. All I'll say is that you need to enjoy Rose or else you might find this soap tiring. 45 minutes after my shave and despite a splash of Klar AS (which is awesome as well....this company rocks), I am getting whiffs of rose.
