What's new

Henson Razor Club.

Razor: Henson+ (v1)
Blade: Gillette Nacet
Brush: Yaqi synthetic 24mm
Soap: A&E Asian Plum
Aftershave: Old Spice followed by Nivea Sensitive balm

An excellent nick-free, drama-free shave today with this setup. I'm eliminating soaps in my rotation right now, but this one is likely to stay. When I first got it, the scent was nice, but it didn't wow me. But it's really beginning to grow on me, and the performance has been good once I got the water dialed in. Very pleased with the overall shave today.

Razor: Henson+ (v1)
Blade: Gillette Nacet
Brush: Yaqi synthetic 24mm
Soap: TFS
Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue followed by Nivea Sensitive balm

After 8 months with a Karve OL, I came to the point of deciding that I still just like my Henson+ better. I'm not a collector. I'd just rather have a razor that I know and use well, and so yesterday I shipped the OL out to a B&B member. This morning when I opened my bathroom drawer the only 2 options were the Henson+ and a post-war Tech that I keep around because I do like it, but mostly because it's cool and vintage. So I grabbed the Henson+ and ended up with an absolutely excellent shave. No regrets at all in passing on the OL and sticking with the Henson.

The Henson is tough to beat and was the razor that got me back into proper shaving after 10 years of stubble, electric and cartridges. While I do enjoy having other choices as well, I can't imagine parting with my Henson.

I have been enjoying everyone's posts. The photos are awesome!

I have been using Henson more and more of late. I created my own little hell by buying the + and ++ and tormenting myself as to which I prefer. Past that now. I kept the mild and appreciate it more and more each day.

Today I paired it with an Astra SP and had a close, comfortable shave.

I always forget to post here but Henson is probably my favorite razor. Very gentle on my sensitive skin. Will probably post my next shave tonight. My first razor and so far my favorite.

Agreed. It's a keeper! I am only using three razors these days, but the Henson is ascending.

I have been seriously having this same thought. Not there yet. I do like my OL, but I have to say I am preferring the lighter, nimble Ti+. The grip is so much better too - well mine anyway. The Wagner looks great but doesn't feel too secure.
