Henson Razor Club.

I will be purchasing a Henson in the near future, and I'm trying to decide whether to get the Mild+ or Med++. I have a Karve Bison, which apparently has some similarity to the Henson Al. razor. The Bison has a gap of .71 which seems to be about between the + and the ++. I also use the Rockwell 6S, and the best plates for daily shave (one day growth) for me are the #3 & #4. I know there are other factors involved as well. Has anyone here used the Bison? If so, how does it compare to the + or ++ Henson? I might just try one and if it is too mild or too strong, I'd return it under their 100 day guarantee and order the other, but thought I'd ask for your opinions here. TIA.

My opinion is that if you like the Bison and have shaved for a while, you should start with the Henson Medium. As you said, you can use the 100-day guarantee if you want something more/less aggressive.

I would recommend the ++ as well.

Blade: Supermax (1)
Pre: Hot Water
Soap: RR The Dead Sea
Brush: Omega Boar Pro
Aftershave: Red Ones
Post: Alhydran

A few days growth, and an absolutely sublime shave. Excellent end to a long work week.
