DS Cosmetics & their Brass V92 twin cap.

I recently got the DSC v95 scalloped head only. I have shaved twice with it on a SS handle I have. I like it. I did nick myself twice on the second head shave, but the first was fantastic and beginners luck showed me it doesn’t need to do that. Very pleasantly surprised.

I have a brass Timeless coming Saturday with both the 0.38 SB and 0.78 OC plates and that will give me 3 quite different razors all in one.

I read earlier in the thread that the top cap is interchangeable with the RR Gamechanger, has anyone done a shave to confirm this? Also does DSCosmetics make the Destroyer handle in brass?

The S9 is interchangeable with the Game Changer, the V92/V95 is not. The Game Changer has round posts on the base plate.

How about the DSCosmetics X2? Looks like it would be interchangeable with the Gamechanger top cap and baseplate.



Just bought it last week. Should be here next week or the week after. Wish they made the X2 in brass.

The standalone top caps do fit Game Changer base plates, so there's a good chance you might be able to use the top cap.

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to decide between the DS Cosmetics S9 and the V92/V95, and could use some input from those who have experience with both.

I appreciate simplicity and am drawn to the stainless steel construction of the S9. However, I've seen so much praise for the V92/V95 brass razors that I'm wondering if they might be worth the extra care.

For those who have used both, what are the key differences in the shaving experience? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
