does proraso (red) soap have a cooling effect?

Not for me.... it had the opposite effect. Made my face warn and blotchy. I have a suspicion that I'm slightly/mildly allergic to sandalwood oil..... which is a bummer. I got a tube of the red back in the fall, used it once and had that little reaction and haven't used it since.

I tried it out the other night and I thought there was a bit of a cooling effect. Of course I had read this thread earlier, so my judgement might have been coloured.

Nope, just used it, and no cooling effect.

It's very nice soap - it lathers as you'd expect Proraso soap to, and the scent is really good and not too strong.
