I used the restock period to buy the blades before the 2023 sabbatical starts. KAI blades are my new favourites and now I have everything I need to try going a full year without any purchase. Let's see if my will is strong enough for this. If I understood the rules correctly it should not get me out of this GRUME, so I'm still in and completed the month. Thank you guys for the company in restraint and see you in January.

Made it, finished the year and broke in the New Year with my old Trac II while on holiday. It took nearly two weeks to realize I had resumed my old bad Trac II habits and that I needed to apply what I learned with the Tech. Ended the trip with the same cartridge but closer shaves. The travel kit with olive tin and Mike’s soap worked well, much less irritation than with the V & E’s that was my former travel lather.

I've decided to stock up on my favourite Stirling aftershave in time before the 2023 GRUYERE starts off. I'm down on my final bottle of this particular AS and the scent has already been discontinued. Thus this AS will likely be gone in 01/2024 (and hey, Mrs JAHE loves it )...
No threewhaling here, I'd say. I ordered two 100ml bottles. And I added one Zenith boar brush (my first Zenith boar brush ever) for the 2023 DecemBoar event...

TBH, I don't feel overly bad regarding this fail since I know I would have made December GRUME otherwise, if GRUYERE wasn’t a thing.

Today's shave was perhaps my final shave of this year 2022. It's been a rather tough year for me due to many aspects in my life, all beyond shaving. My working/ life balance was quite off recently... 2023 might be a another challenging year... But hey, we shall see.

However, I may take the opportunity to thank all of you for your uplifting company in 2022.

And as it had to be expected , here's the obligatory SOTD picture...

Thanks for bringing the rules back to mind. I'd call myself "out" , though.
The AS I got might be still in line with the restock idea, but the boar brush I ordered isn't.

I'm out. Purchased aftershave for 2023 shave sabbatical, as well as a synthetic Stirling brush.

I've placed the orders for gifts and a few items for myself as well.

I read the restocking window for GRUME but the items which were ordered for me are not for restocking, so I'll be seeing you in January GRUME and GRUYERE 2023.

I'll share the spoils when I get the deliveries.
