Until last night, I could never ride the cap of my RazoRock “German” 37 safety razor. Lighter touch made it happen. An even lighter touch will probably keep the aftershave off the nerve endings and the telltale pink scrape marks off my neck. Not certain, just excited.

Sunday Schick shave, October 6th 2024

Razor : Schick i2 hydro magic injector. Mfg 1954-57, mild to tame mid range. Well built and stamping technology would be very hard to even duplicate today. Had a close comfortable shave this morning. Some razors just work much better because of design like Schick injectors or ASR razors or other SE razors with a shallow approach or riding the cap!
Blade
: Schick (11) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. I tossed the blade after this shave!
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda cream, nice scented lather of lavender with a touch of (mint?)with excellent lather qualities. Lavender will always be in shave rotation because of its health qualities and protection it offers IMO(I have been using different lavender soaps and there is something about it that protects slightly better than other soaps has been my observations when lather is prepared properly (not sure how to prove those observations).
Brush : Yaqi "Viper" 24mm boar bristle knot. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hairs, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Very nice boar brush for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 8.5.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick i2 injector with a Schick injector blade.

A great 3 pass WTG, XTG and ATG with touch up. Was in Idaho Springs over the weekend and stopped by my favorite soap shop and noticed that they now make shave soap. Bought the Patchouli Mint and I have to say that it is the slickest soap that I have ever used. I mean more than ARKO. Have a great day guys!

Great to see a fellow Biali BD191/Razorock Adjust user!

How do you like this razor? I love mine, perfect adjustment range that bridges between my mild King C. Gillette and moderate Weishi 9306. Also love that its one of only two razors (Rockwell T2 is the other one) that uses the same style of adjustment mechanism found in the Gillette Super Adjustables from the 70's and 80's.

Can't beat the under $15 price ($7.99 in my case) either.

I love it also. Still getting used to the longer handle. Funny how you mentioned the Weishi 9306. That razor is also in my weekly rotation being my first safety razor.

My Weishi 9306 Long Handle was also my first razor when I returned to DE 5 years ago. Great razor.

I started shaving in my college days with a Gillette Super Adjustable and moved to Norelco Rotaries after five year. When I first returned to DE I was surprised that none of the current production razors used this type of mechanism with a TTO design. The available adjustables were either flawed or were not TTO. Great to see we now have some good TTO adjustable choices now.
