A month later, he dropped in to say hi. He was working at the local university, in some kind of admin role. He told me that he usually had his whole weeks work done by Monday afternoon, the rest of the week he just had to show up.
Sounds like a relative of the entire student services staff of the engineering department at my Uni. I switched from an Engineering Physics degree in Applied Science to a Math/Physics double major in the faculty of Science because I couldn't stand dealing with these clerks, whose combined total IQ is maybe scratching 3 from bellow (I think there were 6 people there), not to mention having them have the final bureaucratic say on my graduation.
It's not that they do the whole week's work by Monday afternoon. It's that they call Monday morning's paper shuffling a week's work.
That aside, I don't get bored at work anymore... Higher education in Math really does pay
