Blackland Blackbird Titanium

I pulled the trigger on a Blackland Blackbird Titanium and I couldn't be happier! I had read/seen all of the glowing reviews and had to give this thing a try. I was going back and forth between the stainless and the Ti (I really like weight to my razor) and finally just reached out to Shane at Blackland. He called me 30 seconds after I sent my initial email! Shane couldn't have been nicer and we talked at length about both versions. I was finally convinced that Titanium was the way to go.

The razor was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday but actually got here on Monday! I loaded a Gillette Nacet blade in and used Ariana and Evans Empyrean Bay Rum with an Omega boar brush and this razor just killed! Blade feel in the best sense of the term. I have a heavy beard and was pretty good with a single WTG pass. I went for a second ATG pass and I can report back that as 5:45PM, I am still pretty smooth! If you are on the fence, give this thing a try! Weight is good and the Ti looks and feels like nothing else (kind of StarWars-ish!).

You can’t go wrong with the Blackbird Ti. I’d put this up against any razor in terms of performance.

The Blackbird Ti Lite has become my favorite razor. I like the Stainless Steel version too, but the Ti is the clear winner for me between the two materials.

Yeah I have the satin finish TI bird and got the polished TI as a backup. The razor is so good I made sure I have 2 just in case
