Wife’s Zomchi Razor threads broke

It must be a female thing. My wife uses an Old Type clone she got from her Grandfather's home. The open comb is too aggressive for my taste. I will swap out blades and the hair residue is pretty bad. I don't think she ever rinses the razor after each use.

The razor gets left in the shower and the blade has some rust.

Jungle Culture Unisex Teal DE Safety Razor

Oh that - it's a teal colour ( bluey-green turquoise ) thing called a Jungle Culture - it's quite good, reasonably heavy and no exposed blade tabs.

There is probably the equivalent shaped one on aliexpress but not sure if it comes in the teal colour.
Not looked yet - lemme go see.

Thank you. I appreciate the reply... It reminded me of the Bevel razor which is a covered tab razor.. I have been looking for something similar to the bevel , but, without the price of it...

You're welcome jaro 101969 - it's probably available cheaper with a more thorough search.

It's a cheapie Chinese Cerakote (ceramic coated) zamac but I think it's fine.

Oh brilliant Thurlady does them in black, silver and gunmetal dark grey so more appropriate for blokes.

Just looked at the $50 Bevel razors and the handles have no grip whatsoever but look lovely - how impractical for slippy soapy hands.

I wouldn't know about the handle being slippery but have heard.its more grippy than it looks. I found one of the bevel razor heads in a thrift store once.for like 2.50$ USD and bought it and put An extra handle also shorter than the bevel handle I had on it and it works great , I just would like to have a backup in case anything ever happens to it... Also if you look on eBay they sometimes have used bevel razors for a reasonable price.. I just never got an extra one yet..

Yep you can always sanitise a second hand Bevel razor - no problem; good luck locating one.

The Thurlady ones look fine to me as well and you can just interchange the handles.

I've got plenty of razors and soaps I've accrued since joining B&B 4 months ago but I like variety so use totally different tackle everyday.

I only want a good vintage 5/8th carbon straight and a nice old heavy brass Gillette now.

The Oud frags are the problem; they're so addictive lol !
