Is that a little moustache razor there? They're something I don't know very much about!

Just when on the topic.. so the moustache razors are the sort of "trangle shaped" ones with the little narrow end and the wider end?

I saw a listing on Razor Emporium listed as a "moustache razor" and I'm suspicious that it's actually a corn razor.

This one: 1960s EMIR Travel Mustache Razor With Blades | Original Condition - https://www.razoremporium.com/1960s-emir-travel-mustache-razor-with-blades-original-condition/

I done some searching for the same model. The Emir of Solingen, and I found original advertisements for the exact same razor as a "corn razor".

Maybe I'm just weird but I kinda feel bad for someone who might buy it to trim up their moustache when it's actually been used to shave callouses and warts off someone's feet. 🤭

I hope it's been sterilized well! Even so, I couldn't knowingly sell it as that.. I guess RE have just made a mistake and maybe they think it is indeed a moustache razor.

Speaking of Razor Emporium and their brand Rex, I saw on a video they're working on a new Rex TTO to be released early in the new year, possibly first but more likely second quarter he said.

He showed a short glimpse of it on YouTube. It sort of looks like an Ambassador but it's an adjustable TTO sort of Gillette like frame and silo doors.. with the lower frame, and the two side pieces that raise and trop and a centre bar in the middle. Seems to be traditional adjustment dial at the neck/ top of the handle and from what I could see he seemed to be opening and closing it via a knob at the bottom of the handle.

Shave wise, he said he's aiming to have it right in the middle between the Ambassador and the Konsul.

I have the Ambassador but I don't really use it all that much. I liked it a lot back when I got it but as time went on I found it a bit too "blade feely" up the settings and well, down low wasn't quite the shave I wanted either. It's been months since I used it but I found it difficult to find a sweet spot with it. Maybe it's just with mine being the standard machined finish but the guard and cap seems a tad "sticky" when shaving also.

I actually wish I'd have went for the Konsul instead as it seems to get some good feedback. A lot of people seem to like it.

It is a Merkur 907 mustache and detailing razor. It uses a double edged bade. They also make corn razors, but it's not the same.
