Venture. A pilsner from Bent Paddle, Duluth. Happy hour tap offering at a local restaurant. Good, but a nagging cold has wrecked my sense of taste; subtleties are lost ....
Get well soon, Don. The GF and I are still recovering from something.View attachment 1865433

Thank you. If either of you have what I've got, you have my deepest sympathy. Whatever it is, it sucks. I haven't been posting here much because of it.Get well soon, Don. The GF and I are still recovering from something.
The regular Beech smoked is the most in your face but my favorite is their seasonal Oak smoked Doppelbock as you know Don. This Alder smoked Schwarzbier has only 4.2% and a light body so it also works nicely in summer. That's the one I'd been hoping you would post... schwarz beers are usually very good.
Exactly! These beers blow the pre-conceived notion that all darks beers are heavy completely out of the water! Thanks for the great photo; you can't even look at it without wanting it...This Alder smoked Schwarzbier has only 4.2% and a light body so it also works nicely in summer.
