A very pleasant, fruity Helles.
A solid porter from Sam Smith. This one loses A LOT cold; notably better at celler temp in my opinion.

A quite hollow and boring Helles, so we quickly moved on to this satisfying beer... its naming is appropriate: mere joy (helle Freude) That's just a pun, of course.

All in all a mild and malty brew that is barely hoped. I only got 2 bottles and rightly so. I think a six pack would have bored me.

We've just got back from a weekend in Johor Bahru, an hour across the Causeway. Last night it was rather warm so the only draught beer available in the pub was Heineken. It would not be my first choice but it was certainly cold enough.
Birthday get-together for my nephew last night. A couple of local pilsners to enjoy...
Tart, a little smoky and somewhat block-malty, not too sweet. Well balanced. Good stuff!

Last night libation for the Texas game. First time I had an IPA in more than a year. I gotta say it was mellow and enjoyable.

Yeah, have been lazy to photograph and post the beers. Doesn't mean I have stopped though.
