Shave#212 of 366 remaining 154(100%)
Arko August

Razor:
Muhle Rocca Rear
Blade: Shark Super Chrome (9)
Brush: Simpsons Trafalgar T3
Soap: ZM Explorer
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Gel
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water

After passing a Turkish Barber with Arko for sale in the window this morning I had a disaster, a water main burst in town leaving us without water today and into the night. The only good news was I resisted the mad impulse to buy a stick of Arko 😅 and so starts my 153rd Arko August! I'm using a Shark SC blade so technically this counts as an Arko-Sharko shave for me🤔. As I found myself once again starting Arko August Arkoless I had to turn to a soap whose scent has no similarity to a urinal cake whatsoever, ZM Explorer. Some amongst you may find yourselves scratching your heads and asking if that is legal, and to you I say at least my bathroom doesn't smell like a Pub restroom. Using a jug of boiled bottled water cooled slightly so as not to damage the brush I lathered the Explorer and shaved once again with the Rocca, there is no other razor I would trust during a water outage.
Not a spectator shave, but smoother than I thought it was going to be, especially under the circumstances, and I look forward to not shaving with Arko again tomorrow!

Listen I'l have you know that the reason my bathroom smells like a pub restroom has nothing to do with Arko.🤣

Prep for tomorrow's shave: Arko bathing in Caties' Bubbles. The Caties bubbles smells like the shaved cedar in a hamster hutch. I thought it would accent the Arko's urinal cake smell nicely.

Just took a whiff. The sum is definitely better than the parts...

August 1 shave

Shark Super Chrome loaded in a UK Gillette Aristocrat; ARKO! face lathered with an unbleached Zenith boar. I love boars. I would have signed up for ARKO-Boarko, but I have a couple of trips on August and prefer to take synthetics traveling, and by signing up for ARKO-Gung ho, I ended up as #6 (for all you The Prisoner fans).

Arko August

Razor:
RR Lupo 95SB
Blade: Shark Super Chrome (10)
Brush: Simpsons Trafalgar T3
Soap: ZM Explorer
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Gel
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water

Thankfully the water came back on last night a while after I shaved, it is amazing how quickly things go bad when you have to buy all the water you use from a shop. Today I switched to the Lupo to see if I could get a better shave from the Shark SC blade. Once again Explorer stood in for Arko and it really seems to be disappearing fast (I wish my Arko stick had done that). Once again I had to endure it's amazing lather and incredible scent instead of imagining myself to be standing next to a pub urinal whilst my face ends up as dry as last year's Christmas tree, but as the only Arko Auguster not using Arko i feel it is my duty to show you what you are missing by using Arko. The shave was a bit better than last night and the Shark has won a reprieve, at least until tomorrow night.

ARKO! is calling you. You’ve shown amazing restraint but, it’s just a matter of time. LOL.

Bummer about the water situation. I hope they get it fixed quickly.
