Another Special Fatip

Along with my ATT H2 my Fatips are my everyday shavers. I decided to add some color to my collection and a couple of months ago I had this Fatip Grande coated by EAC Concepts in Cerakote Titanium Blue and the OC in Cerakote Titanium.

I again installed tungsten weights and tungsten puddy inside the Grande handle's cavity adding an additional 32 grams of weight and matching my Ruthenium Fatip Grande's handle of 68 grams. The added heft is a real plus to say the least.

I have come across 5 Fatips and all have been torqued. I cured it again with some special shimming. The how to for all is documented in past posts below. My "Whack" Fatips, I love them :).

Ty gentlemen, EAC Concepts did a great job

That's very nice. Your razor rack looks like a little altar. Pretty cool.

Ty, the starting lineup of razors do have a nice pad. Planning on adding more and different pads.

Thanks again gentlemen. I thought some of you here would enjoy the photos. I went on and shaved this mornin with the the trio on the pics and ofcourse I loaded the Fatip with a Feather blade.

Talk about shaving luxury, the Shavemac whipping up a rich thick luxurious slick protective lather on my face with the scent of fresh limes in the air. A 3 pass shave with some minor touch up buffing and the CF Lime with its essential oils left my face feeling so good there was no need for balm but I did applied it on anyways.

I am going to stick this 3 round Fatip Feather blade shave rotation with the CF Lime and the Shavemac D01 2Band. I am sure there are better and more luxurious creams out there but I haven't come across them yet.

Very classy Roman era type of look.

Thanks Alex and especially for your Joris Fatip Lovers Thread that introduced me to the "Whack" Fatips I enjoy so much :)

Beautiful Apex, Just Beautiful!!

When you say:
Along with my ATT H2 my Fatips are my everyday shavers.

....Do you mean 6-7 days a week?.....Just curious how many days a week fellow BBers are shaving with Fatips and the likes of the H2.

Thanks for sharing.

Ty Boaz and Dools. And yes Dools I only shave with these puppies 6-7 days a week. I have been alternating 2 weeks with ATT H2 and 2 weeks with the Fatips. I am fortunate my skin can adapt but I can not overlook how important my preshave routine is. A good slick protective lather. A blade that does not tug and most definitely good technique. These razors armed with a Feather blade will let u know quick if you slip and force you to be diligent. When you dial them in though its like riding a bike.

Before I purchased the ATT OC Set I was already hooked with the Fatips as my everyday shavers. The transition was a good one with the H2, it is actually a slightly more aggressive razor that provides scary close smooth shaves armed with a Feather blade. Practically 12 hours without a shadow for me.

I do own other razors but they just simply don't get any playtime. I am just addicted to efficient close shaves. I am presently focusing on a search of perfect lathers to include in my rotation. It has opened another avenue into the pleasures of wet shaving luxury. I also plan on adding another quality brush or 2 to rotate. Then I will be pretty much set I think :).

I like the look of the coating on the FaTip. I really like the overall design of the FaTip head, I think the curves are perfect on it, and it doesn't hurt that it is a very efficient shaver as well.

did the coating make the finish nice and smooth as im sure you know the fatips are not finished the best and some of mine even have some little tiny things into the metal that were plated over. were they able to get the finish nice and smooth without anything showing through? otherwise looks awesome i may have to do this the finish is the one thing i never like with my fatips.
