I have not had the same experience. The La Faulx++ is definitely more efficient, but I don't find it gentle. I use the Kai Captain in the Spirit and the milder Kai Captain Pink in the La Faulx++, but the Spirit is foolproof for me and the La Faulx++ is happy to provide some irritation.
I'm considering selling the La Faulx++. Maybe I should have purchased the La Faulx+. I suppose I could try selling just the head and buying the +, but I've already invested quite a bit of money and I have no idea how the + would be for me. I would like it if the Spirit was a tiny bit more aggressive, but this La Faulx is more than a little aggressive.
That's very interesting regarding your views on La Faulx Vs Spirit. I don't know if I'm really getting anything better if I jumped on the La Faulx after owning a Spirit. I'm also looking at the Vestige for some reason.

This razor is a pleasure to use. Though I don't think I've completely figured it out. And since it's been a little while since I last used it. The efficiency and smoothness surprises me when I shave shallow ... and I mean really shallow. Yet the safety bar is still in contact with the skin, since it protrudes out further than usual like the Blutt razor. I think I might stick with using it for a little while just to iron out the angle for consistency. Right now my face is super smooth everywhere.
You would probably like the +. Is takes the blade feel down a bit while still giving a good shave. For me the ++ is the perfect razor. I have Classic, +, and ++ and they all go up exponentially in efficiency yet remain smooth and gentle.

When I want to recalibrate myself around the definition of what a shave should be, I use the Lafaulx + with a Feather Pro or a Schick Proline.
Lafaulx + is right in the middle of the goldilocks zone for me. Smoother than the Spirit and a bit more efficient. I can use the Lafaulx + with a Feather Pro Super for extra efficiency, though with a bit more aggression. Drop in a captain Titan for a mild, but still close shave.

About 50% hollow. I wanted the razor to be weight forward.

Damn, the SS is already feather-light and a nimble ninja razor. I can't imagine how it'll be in Ti but you have piqued my interest Sir.
Steve, what are the weights of C954 bronze and titanium Spirits?
