What's new

All I have to say is wow!

If you have a look at how the blade sits in the head of an Old Type, you'll see where the different "technique" comes in to play. It is IMO mostly a difference in the angle of the blade in relation to the handle. The Old Type sits a bit more angled towards the handle than most other DE's thus requiring the handle to be held at a different angle to match the blade's angle of attack.

The Old Type is far and away my favorite DE shaver, in any variant I've tried (and I've got and tried about 2 dozen of them, including Double Rings, Single Rings, a Bulldog, ABC Pocket Editions and Big Fellows).

Interesting I guess, that I think their very first was their very best.

Slight threadjack here, but what's the difference in shave experience using the long-toothed New versus the short-toothed New?

I am wondering the same thing...and now am actually looking to do a trade in the B/S/T for a short comb New. These OC's are taking over and now I have RAD!!!
