Shave#244 of 366 remaining 122(100%)

Razor:
Muhle Rocca R94
Blade: Feather (2)
Brush: Yaqi Purple Haze
Soap: ZM Explorer
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Creme
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water

I was getting on fine with last night's shave until the second pass when I opened up my weeper again. I always remember the Feather as a bit dangerous and with this last last blade it is making me remember those days. Not the best shave overall and I'm looking forward to finishing with it.

Shave#245 of 366 remaining 121(100%)

Razor:
Muhle Rocca R94
Blade: Feather (3)
Brush: Yaqi Purple Haze
Soap: ZM Explorer
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Creme
A/S: Davidoff Cool Water

Tonight another Feather shave and now that the blade is a little more blunt at least it didn't open up my weeper again. Not a bad shave, but still a little rough on the neck so again I am not impressed with the performance of the Feathers

Notes:

So this AX has a blade gap of 1.55 which is by far the largest gap I have ever used. And I have to say it is a very smooth shave!
I can definitely feel the blade but somehow it is very soft and comfortable. Three passes gives me a really nice smooth feeling.

Shave #251 of 366. Wow, these numbers are creeping higher.
One pass ATG and walk away shave, even though it's a Saturday. The Karve G OC with a fresh blade does not need second chances.
It's remarkable how much a sleep-in morning affects the feel of stubble. My face felt like it had a good beard going after 26 hours instead of the usual 24.

SLANTember, Saturday Sept 7th 2024, #251/366 consecutive daily shaves.

Razor : Yaqi Top aggressive slant with a Yaqi Brass nickel coated handle. Mfg 2019>, aggressive range. Note NOT the best razor for a rookie until skill level has seasoned a little IMO. I like to use this razor every once in a while to test my technique and skill level. This razor (YTAS) when mastered gives some of the closest shaves you can possibly accomplish with a safety razor or straight razor has been my experiences because of lots of blade feel or blade exposure. I like to use a Steep approach(riding the bar) with a short handle for quicker response around the chin area and less leverage. I also use a blade shim under the primary blade for rigidity + Don't plunk this razor at start because it bites. Had a close comfortable Stellar shave this morning!
Blade : GSB (4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish countryside, nice unique scent (Creed Irish green inspired) with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Bali" 24mm 3band badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Man did this knot bloom for a dense packed knot, still a very nice brush to work the face.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish spring with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : Dial 10.2 stellar.jpg or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 2 small blemish weepers=:a17: Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Top aggressive Slant with a GSB blade. Great shave but a few small blemishes got sheered off(small round weepers) other than that had a stellar shave.

Shave#246 of 366 remaining 120(100%)
SV Saturday

Razor:
Muhle Rocca R94
Blade: Feather (4)
Brush: RR Moka-Soft beehive
Soap: SV 70th Anniversary
Post Shave: Nivea Hyaluron Creme
A/S: Clinique Happy For Men

Tonight for SV Saturday I went once again with my favourite, 70th Anniversary. The Feather seems to have settled down, but the shave wasn't as close as yesterday, particularly on my neck. Still an SV shave is an SV shave and it's always a pleasure. If I only had one soap this would be it, at least for now.

Superb 3-Pass DFS+ shave!

Saturday 7th September, shave #251

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Saponificio Varesino Opuntia
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #4
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Nivea 2-in-1 Aftershave

Used Opuntia for SV Saturday. They're all good, but I prefer this scent to Cubebe. Got the usual excellent bowl lather. I took my time, for a comfortable near-BBS.
