Or you can make do with Microsoft Paint (included in Windows) if you can’t or don’t know how to operate more complex photo editing software. But it is hard to work with transparent backgrounds in Paint. But you can make a pretty good avatar in Paint though. If you are up for it, GIMP is free. But there is a learning curve for the non-graphically oriented folks. Once you can master GIMP you can do 90% of the rudimentary capabilities of photoshop without the price tag.

Also, I did make one last 2024 purchase prior to embarkment on the mothership. I have been a Razorock fan since day one. And when their cnc machined stuff, like game changer, Wunderbar, mamba, etc, hit the scene, it was revolutionary to get that type of precision engineering in a razor at that low of a price point. There is lots of that going on now. But back in those days, RR was pretty cool stuff. So of course, I had most of the RR razors back then. But as I became a fan of more boutique artisan razors, those RR offerings became less viable to me. They were no longer able to keep up with my high end razors. So they were all sold off. Except one! The Lupo 95 SB. That razor hangs with the big boys. It’s literally the only sub $100 razor that can, given my challenging stubbles. It’s not as luxurious. It’s not as pretty. But it gets the job done. I use it a lot for travel, so I don’t have to bring a Wolfman or other expensive beast on a trip. For my last shaving purchase, I got the new Lupo 127. I felt that buying that would eliminate the curiosity. Eliminate that last urge to try something new. I’m sure I’ll hate it and sell it off right away. 🤣🤣🤣. Now I won’t have to fight that one all year. I can’t think of anything else i would lust after during the sabbatical. But we all know how that goes! Well I’m off to unsubscribe from all my email lists now! It was an Italian Barber after-Christmas sale email that made this purchase happen! Good luck gentlemen!

I picked up Barrister & Mann Le Grand Chypre and Lavanille soap, aftershave, and EdP, Feather Pro Super SE blades, along with another container of Acqua di Parma Barbiere soap and Colonia aftershave balm. I already have some Colonia aftershave splash and wanted to try the balm. Since I am joining GRUYERE I couldn't help myself with some additions to the collection! I admit searching for a Yates razor after getting the email notification that their shop was closing, but thankfully for my wallet I couldn't find one. The other razors I would consider are out of stock, waitlisted, and so expensive I could not justify the purchase. I don't anticipate any purchases between now and year-end, and I am grateful for GRUYERE to keep me in check! Haha!

Edit: I purchased a Muhle Stainless R41! I have been curious about the R41 for years, and the stainless version was enticing enough for me to dive in!
