My issue with the Contributor Subs is: I get the renewal email, make a mental note to take care of that, erase the email, and then suffer CRS. Can't Remember......Something!
So, then the Sub expires and - whammo! - ads. Lots of ads. Yikes! What in Heck did I DO???
Nope. It's What in Heck *Didn't* I Do!
At that point I move as fast as I can to correct my CRS!
And, the Subs have always been restraint exceptions since the beginning. If you can remember, that is!
Edit: And my avatar change is for the 25 restraint. I did it early since I never did change it from last year. Y'all know. CRS......

I'm going to contact Areffa Soap about a custom scent in their bear tallow base, an MdC Agrumes clone. And two jars of Mike's Honey and Grapefruit!
I'd also love to score a G-Bar like the one I've been borrowing lately, plus some blades for it. I don't think that'll be too hard in the January window. And I'll be restocking a PAA Tube and a PAA Cube, the ones I have now likely won't last all of 2025.
That's it! I'm proud of myself, it's not too excessive and has a high joy-per-pound ratio. I almost put a Varlet brush on the list....but no. Maybe next year

Still in and basically finished! We are leaving early next week for a trip to spend the Holidays with our daughter and granddaughter in Hawaii. (I guess the son-in-law too, lol). I will pack a Mach 3 and some Pacific Natural cream for the trip, but no purchases on the horizon.
Today I used my Twig loaded with a fresh KCG half blade. Lather started with Arko, but I added some Trader Joe's cream to tackle my wiry goatee area when I felt some unnecessary tugging with the Arko by itself. Problem solved. Finished with Speick splash for a very nice, irritation-free DFS++.
The sabbatical has been great and relatively easy for me. As I was contemplating participating in the 2025 sabbatical it hit me that my primary goal in doing this was to reach a state akin to homeostasis. That is, adjusting for external forces, stay in balance. For me, that means keeping a very reasonable inventory and replacing things I use up as I go. No net gains in stuff. As an example, I primarily use creams over soaps. I have a current inventory of 5 partial tubes of creams in various states (Trader Joe's, Proraso Red, Pacific Natural, Speick and Ach Brito Lavanda). To me, this is plenty of variety and when one is used up, I will replace it either with the same thing or with another choice.
Maybe I will play from the sidelines or go back to the GRUME world.
