This morning I needed a great, super fast shave. And this is exactly what I get from my Merkur 1904 loaded with a Red Personna blade.

The second version of Dr K's shave soap arrived this morning so once again I'll be testing it out this week. After one use I can say that the difference between this version and the last is massive and in a very good way.

Thanks David. To be honest I was suprised by the difference in the soap since the first version. I got the first version of the soap a week ago and I think the second version was made on the same day I gave feedback. They were clearly dedtermined to improve.

I have 12 at the moment with a 13/16 FON Golden Star on it's way from Japan. I think I'll call it a day... for the time being at least!!

Results: In my hallucinations due to limited sleep and living in a two dimensional world of my computer screen for the past couple of days, I came up with a new word (or rather a synonym) for überlather; SOAPREME (Soap + Creme and it rhymes with Supreme). The Acca Kappa combo is such an animal, all the way to its core. Moisturizing, excellent glide and cushion and fabulous almond scent. Coupling this wholesome goodness of a lather with my Bismarck proved to a great choice. As much as I liked the nice set of custom Ivory Micarta scales she was in, I felt that she would shine better in her original clothes. So while in Vegas, Max was kind enough to make my wish come through

. I was rewarded with a SPECTACULAR shave

. What a smooth shave. Now, if I could only get my wife to leave my face alone

WOW! The Bismark finally appears! I'm so glad you decided to swap the scales, Robert. Not that I'm any expert in these matters, but sometimes you just have to go with what is mean't to be. She's a beauty, my friend! Excuse my ignorance but what do these numbers actually mean? Yours is a 6.
