This morning I needed a great, super fast shave. And this is exactly what I get from my Merkur 1904 loaded with a Red Personna blade. :wink2:

I know where you are coming from here, Marco. That is one fine DE, and one of the few I've kept since switching to straights. Love the shot, my friend!!:thumbup1:

Lots of fine shaves and pictures, excellent!

Thanks Zee!

Great news, Keith! And a super shot too!:001_smile:thumbup1:

Thanks David. To be honest I was suprised by the difference in the soap since the first version. I got the first version of the soap a week ago and I think the second version was made on the same day I gave feedback. They were clearly dedtermined to improve.

Very nice picture from yourself today. How many straights are you up to now? It's quite a nice collection you're building up.

Manantiales needs no introduction... just a perfect lather for a perfect shave! That blade looks in superb condition, Robert. Every once in a while, the unexpected surfaces, and you scored well there, my friend! :thumbup1:

Thank you buddy :001_smile. Speaking of "unexpected", you've been on quite a roll lately too. Great scores for sure. Your collection is certainly something to be proud of :thumbup1:

Four days since last shave, and finally this beauty arrived today. She's one heavy 'gal, chopped down the whiskers like a freight train playing sheep bowling, BBS in two passes

OMG. That is a razor and a half, Rune! And that point:w00t: Congratulations on the acquisition... you must be delighted!:001_smile

Pre-Shave: Hot shower
Brush: 28mm Rodney Neep Extra Stuffed Silvertip Badger w/ African Soapstone handle
Razor: 8/8" Bismarck #6, Full Hollow Ground, Round Point
Strop: 10/55/25 laps (Neil Miller Linen / Imperial Shave "Pegasus III" Horse hide leather / Cordovan leather)
Soapreme: Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Creme + Acca Kappa "1869" Shave Soap + Glycerin
Toner: Thayer's Witch Hazel (Lavender, no alcohol)
After Shave Splash: Floïd Italian Blue AS
After Shave Balm: eShave "Almond" ASB
Cologne: Acca Kappa "1869" EdT
Results: In my hallucinations due to limited sleep and living in a two dimensional world of my computer screen for the past couple of days, I came up with a new word (or rather a synonym) for überlather; SOAPREME (Soap + Creme and it rhymes with Supreme). The Acca Kappa combo is such an animal, all the way to its core:001_wub:. Moisturizing, excellent glide and cushion and fabulous almond scent. Coupling this wholesome goodness of a lather with my Bismarck proved to a great choice. As much as I liked the nice set of custom Ivory Micarta scales she was in, I felt that she would shine better in her original clothes. So while in Vegas, Max was kind enough to make my wish come through

. I can't believe the week is almost over...what happened to Monday?!!!

WOW! The Bismark finally appears!:001_tt1::001_tt1: I'm so glad you decided to swap the scales, Robert. Not that I'm any expert in these matters, but sometimes you just have to go with what is mean't to be. She's a beauty, my friend!:001_tt1: Excuse my ignorance but what do these numbers actually mean? Yours is a 6.:confused1
