Counterfeit Iridium Super Stainless from idiotdoc on eBay

I purchased 500 blades from idiotdoc on Ebay on Item 280612495985

This is what I've received.












It has been pointed out that these are indeed counterfeit blades.

I have since been in touch with the seller & he has agreed to refund the blades

From an ebay seller who regularly ships form Singapore

I don't think he had any idea as to their current market value as I got em @ $20 per 100.

He was selling 1500 blades - of which I got 500.

They went within 3 hours of being up.

I picked up 300 from the same place as well.

Interestingly enough mine arrived yesterday.

I picked up 690 of them as he pulled the auctions. Very lucky.

They have not arrived yet, but a friend who picked up 100 has his delivered this week. I am hoping that mine were only held up in customs.

Hmmmm. I like those, but I had to chuck it halfway through the third shave.
I guess at $20 for $100 I could toss them after 2 shaves, but still.

Are these exceptionally nice, or cheap?

They are excellent blades which are no longer in production.

Not quite as sharp as a feather - but much smoother & last longer (YMMV)

I wonder if these are the ones from Shanghai talked about in this thread.

The speculation was that they might be counterfeits.

If they are fake (which I doubt) then they are very good ones. The packaging is identical to the ones I already have.

It wouldn't make sense for this particular seller to sell counterfeit blades as he's a long standing shaving supplier.

Looks like these are fake... A post I had previously posted on tsd.

Chinese can copy anything except spelling. I like how it states: USA and Brocter

Yeah, those are fake. Hopefully they shave well, though.

I don't have a decent camera, but I do have several packs left.

The sides are the biggest tip-off.

Mine say on one side:
"Distributed by: Procter & Gamble UK, Weybridge, Surrey, KTI3 0XP, UK
etc" -- not a match

The other:
"Produkcja: Petersburg Products International, Pulkovskoye Sh 54,
etc" - not a match
