Best Brush for Dirty Bird Scuttle

Ok, so I recieved my Dirty Bird Scuttle about 2 weeks ago and have loved hot lather I have produced in it. It has taken me a while to re-learn how to build a good, well hydrated, lather in the scuttle. I currently use a EJ medium super badger brush with T&H cream (Grafton). Most of my lather seems to build up in the brush or it simply overflows over the bowl. I was wondering if a smaller brush would be of use. For those of you who own a dirty bird scuttle what brushes do you find work best with cream?

I used a Rooney 2/1 yesterday and it worked fine. Any brush with a long enough handle that will allow you to do your mixing without banging around on the sides is good. I like knot sizes in the 21-23 mm range. Short handled brushes with short lofts probably are not ideal. I'm not sure about the size of your EJ but I would think it should be able to work okay. You might need to play around with the amount of cream you are using or your water ratio.
