Black walking shoe I can wear at work?

Any recommendations on a black walking shoe that I can get away with wearing at work?

How about the classic black leather Reebok?

I wear a very similar New Balance walking shoe (928) in wide. Ecco has some very nice shoes that are a bit more formal but very comfortable for walking.

I second the New Balance 928 suggestion - the brown ones and black ones are what I wear to work.

Another option is the Drew Toledo.

Rockport make some stylish walking shoes that you could wear to work.

If you don't need an athletic shoe, but rather a great walking shoe for a business casual kind of environment, try the Allen Edmonds' Wilbert Comfort shoe. They call it a "comfort" shoe, and it is that, but trust me, you can walk for miles and stand on them all day.

What is your line of work? That kind of dictates the shoe.

I'd second something similar to the above if in a clean office or production environment. If in a kitchen or similar, don't spend too much money. The grease gets to them quickly.

Rockport if I was on a budget. Ecco is I was buying for the future, Mephisto if price is no object. Mate them to a quality sock and walk on with your bad self.

I have a pair of Red Wing Beckmans that are comfortable for walking and look fine with a jacket and tie.
