What's the least expensive kit you'd find pleasurable?

YMMV may be the caveat universal for wet shaving. However, we all have our ideas. I'd like to hear your ideas of what would be the least cash outlay you could invest in a wet shaving kit you would find pleasurable. Not endurable. Not functional. Not adequat. Not even enjoyable. I mean down right pleasurable!

So whatdoyasay?

Interesting twist on the usual question . . .

Razor - Gillette Slim, triangular slot Tech/Star safety razor, or Parker open comb (depending on my mood). Possibly a Merkur slant. I'd really like to say an ATT slant, but I do enjoy cheaper razors.
Brush - boar (Semogue SOC, because I like big brushes)
Soap/cream - Proraso green cream, or Haslinger which lasts for a while
Aftershave - Stirling balm in . . . some citrus scent

For me it would be...

Razor and blades: Feather Popular and feather blades
Brush: Kent BK4 (where I'd splurge)
Soap: cella
scuttle (ah warm lather)

Razor - Fatip Piccolo - $30 (I've since found my holy grail razor, an ATT Atlas R2, but that's not cheap. The Fatip is great though and solid brass at a great price)

Brush - Satin Tip the Purest - $15

Soap - Arko - $2

Blade - Astra SP - $0.10 each?

AS - Mennen Skin Bracer - $6

that is an extraordinRly inexpensive list. Do you find pleasure in doing things as cheaply as possible or just like shaving that much?

Magic Razor (shavette)
Personna Med Preps
Whipped Dog 24mm pure badger
Williams soap

This is pretty much my regular setup other than I don't always use Williams.

Pleasurable? Nothing shaving related. :tongue_sm

Adequate is the highest level I've achieved with shaving. I wish I could get pleasure from such a mundane task.

Gillette Old w/Ericsson handle - forget the price, but it was under $10
Astra SPs - x100 for ~$10
Omega Pro 49 - ~$9
Palmolive stick - ~$4
Rameken - ~$1.50

There's a difference between sensual and pleasurable - even then it depends on who's wielding the brush

Gillette Super Speed $.25 from estate sale
Razorock Plissoft brush $9.99
Art of Shaving Lavender cream $6.25 bought on clearance
Vintage Schulton Old Spice $1.00 from estate sale
Personna lab blades free I won 95 blades in a PIF

Total cost: $17.49

Gillette Red Tip (not necessarily cheap) 40.00
Personna Lab Blue blades .13/blade
Italian Barber/Razorock Amici 1.99
Razorock Plissoft 9.99

Razor: Gillette NEW
Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum
Cream: Real Shave Company Moisturising
Brush: RazoRock Plissoft
After shave: Witch Hazel/Shea Butter

Gillette Aristocrat 1948 (family hand me down)
I usually buy Single Edge Gem razor for $1-5 each say $2 is typical price each
Williams or Arko $1.00 each. I can use Ivory or Dove soap and be happy too for like 40-50 ish cents.
Boar Brush about $1.00 or free
Astra blade 10 cents or Gem SE SS 15 cents each which can last me over one month but by then I get bored of the blade so I then toss it. I don`t really use after shave but it`s only recently I`ve tried some but I can do without any AS.
So it`s very accurate to say I can be and I am happy to spend $2-4 for my shaving set up. I still live by this lifestyle because I am a frugal shaver and have a frugal nature.

Gillette Old head (free) with Tech Fat Handled Tech handle ($5)
Israeli Personna Red blades ($20 per 100)
Omega 10066 brush ($9)
Stirling Bay Rum soap ($12)
Stirling Lime ASB ($7)

That's under $50 for a lot of shaving. I'd run out of the soap and have to get more, but a puck would last about three months.

Gillette NEW. Polsilver SI (buy in bulk and split with a friend for extra value). A Plisson Synthetic knock off (there's a variety out there). Stirling soap. Alum. Aqua Velva Sport AS
