Must admit to the same issue, but not recently. 
So did I, but a small cut. I've also cut with Derbys using one of my away-from-home kits when I have been forced into a hurry. Derbys are razor blades, and razor blades are sharp, regardless of what they say on the anti-Derby bandwagon.
That's a Monday morning, hungover, don't wanna go to work. How'd ya do it on a Sunday?

You can cut yourself with ANY razor blade, especially a bad one because you tend to use more pressure.

You have to load the blade in the safety razor before you start shaving.

I hate Derby blades. Gave them a shot twice....eat time was like shaving with velcrow. Not suprised you diced your face with those crummy blades
