August challenge. and it is a hard one. Do-Re-mi

that's right, this month will be photos inspired by the lyrics of the song from Sound of Music.

for those who have never heard it...

let's start at the very beginning
a very good place to start
when you read you begin with abc
when you sing you begin with do re mi
do re mi
the first three notes just happen to be
do re mi do re mi
do re mi fa so la te
do- a deer, a female deer
re- a drop of golden sun
mi- a name i call myself
fa- a long long way to run
so- a needle pulling thread
la- a note to follow so
te- a drink with jam and bread
that will bring us back to do oh oh oh

I think this will be an interesting challenge!
Cutoff for entries will be the 20th, and voting from the 20th to the 25th.

no questions here. it actually seems to give much more leeway than other challenges have done. I mean, pretty much anything doing with music, deer, sun, names, running, sewing, tea, jam and bread...

I think the more open a competition like this is, the harder it is to win. There are so many directions that we can take and so many different styles of pictures; it's hard to know which will win. I love the challenge of it all.

yep the alternate was proving to be difficult to see how it could be done other than avery narrow vision i had.. which is why I shoe not to go there

Here is my official submission. Full-size image shows starburst effect on the sun's trail, atop the water; follows the theme of "RE- A Drop of Golden Sun". The only post-shot editing is raising the color saturation. No other photo edits used.
