You guys have inspired me to clean up my old fountain pens--one Cross and five Phileas Watermans. Nothing fancy, but they got the job done. They were in my desk lap drawer and I must confess, I had let them dry out! I know: "Oh the Horror!"
Back when I was seeing patients I used to use them and kept the same color ink as the color of the pens themselves. Then I got into simply using rollerballs--less hassle when you are busy. But now, I'm retired.
Good news, I ran some water through them and they are all working fine. Now I just need to pick up some nice ink and I'll be back in business.
I probably will only keep a couple of them inked up to prevent another "drying up incident."
Cheers!
