Gillette New Repair?

Pictured is my my 1921 new standard. I unfortunately dropped it bending a tooth on the end. I made a careful attempt to somewhat straighten it, and it broke right off. My question is whether the plate can be removed from the handle? Is it a press fit on there?

Trying to straighten bent teeth is never a good idea, most of the time this is what happens. It'll probably still shave nicely though.

I'm not sure if removing the handle is an easy process, certainly not impossible. But if you have the cap and its inner barrel I'd just use it as is.

I have ever heard of baseplate removal, so I would assume that it is possible, but trying that would only make matters worse. As Mr. Blast noted, live and learn. Sorry about the bent/lost tooth, but you can shave with the razor as is until you find a replacement.
