What do I have

Have this razor, not entirely sure what I have here. Any thoughts.



P.S. - I did not actually buy this, it was a birthday gift from my parents.

That's a Gillette Fatboy. Very nice gift. Look on the bottom for a letter and # date code which will tell you year and quarter of production. Clean it up and shave with pride.

A quick soak in dish soap and warm water, followed by a scrub with a soft toothbrush, and that Fatboy should look great, and shave really well. It looks to be in very good condition.

The date code is E1. It was at an antique store near my parents, I left my info and asked the lady to call me whenever they got DE razors in.

I had a feeling it was a fatboy but I couldn't be sure.

I believe it's 1959 first quarter vintage. Nice.
