Geneva Straight Razors

Hey everyone!

I just picked up my first straight razor the other day and I was curious as to the brand/quality of it. It's a Geneva Cutlery 6/8 half hollow. Quality isn't as much of an issue because this razor is gorgeous. Here are the pictures that the seller posted: https://imgur.com/a/F4uGs
I'm still trying to get technique down and I need to pick up a strop but I love it. Any info would be appreciated!

whipped dog poor mans strop if this is your first straight. if not you will want a quality strop, beginners usually almost always hose the first strop anyway.

Yeah that's actually one I was looking at because it is my first. Anything on the brand of the razor?

Have it honed up and get a strop, whippeddog's (Larry) Poor man strop and Pasted Balsa will keep you going for a while. Larry can also hone the razor for you.

Great steel in those razors. Those old New York razors are steal.

Geneva's are great razors.

I have shaved with a bunch of Geneva Cutlery razors. Each has been great. The one I have now shaves as well as any of my other razors, regardless of price.
