Braces when working

I have started my ag course this year and want a bit of a change, i would rather not be mainstream with belts as i am now, would you reccomend braces, with buttons, for outdoors work on my jeans or work trousers?

I wear braces with all my trousers. It takes some time to sew the buttons on the trousers, but I find that the trousers hang better and they just seem to be more comfortable. Even my jeans seem to fit much better. I am usually the only person in any gathering wearing proper button braces, although there may be one or two who wear clip on braces. I would highly recommend braces for a change and to stand out in any crowd.

Cheers blokes, only workware for me, ill even cop a hard time then, id rather not wear clip ons

Y back or X back designs, which are better? bearing in mind they wont be worn with a suit, just when working

For your jeans, I would suggest buttons like these http://www.hanksclothing.com/suspender_buttons_buy.html. You put these on with a hammer, so be sure you have them properly located before installing. And I put them on so that the button part is on the outside of the waist; that way you won't have the button stabbing your waist. They work very well. Not sure of the practicality of shipping though. As to the back design, I use Y. Have never tried X, so have no basis for comparison.

Used to have fun with Commander Yellow Pantyhose
Filson suspenders are great for outdoor work. Many of their pants come with brave buttons already installed and are also great for working in the field.

Not sure if they're available widely in Australia, but these are my everyday winter work pants:

Cheap, but extremely durable for the price. Reason I mention them is because they come with suspender buttons already.

Out of curiosity, I looked to see if we could get the Riggs Workwear here in the UK. Well, we can on Amazon uk but talk about a rip off!

Looked up the carpenter jeans, $29.97 on the US Wrangler store, $111.10 in the UK! Normally we get ripped off by just changing the dollar sign for a pound signand having to pay half as much again as in the US. This though is an incredible markup!

Guess I won't be buying them here then!
