What's new

What do you do for a career? Why do you shave everyday?

I feel like a professional dreamer. I do odd jobs to keep myself afloat, due to my current situation with having to care for elderly family. Someday though, I'd like to be a lot of things I probably never will be. Instead, I'll fill my life with obsessive hobbies like classic shaving.

Sheetmetal worker

I don't have to shave for the job. When I was growing up I was always told to shave every day so I didn't look like a bum.

Software Project Manager

I don't have to shave for my job as long as I look professional when meeting customers. I shave every day because I enjoy it.

I work in an FAA repair/overhaul machine shop. DEFINATELY don't have to shave, but I like being the clean cut good looking young guy amongst the weathered scraggly lookin old guys I work with lol.

I work with kids/youths that have special needs, are failing school, have problems at home etc. Professional or formal appearance is no requirement what so ever, quite the contrary. We work as a contrast to the "suits" and informality and individuality is encouraged.

I still shave daily though, because I love it.

Tool and Die maker.
no need to shave. Just enjoy it ever since my plunge into DE. Everything thinks I'm nuts. They shave once a week if that.

+1 I'm the baby here at 30. They are all between 55 and 70... it's a dying trade, what can I say.... oh I know.... job security!!!

I'm a 5th grade teacher, at a Title 1 school here in the San Francisco East Bay area. I used to shave only every 3 days or so because my face hated shaving, but now I'm able to shave everyday and I love it, and so does the wifey ;-)

I manage a Walgreens drug store in New York City - the kind of drug store that doesn't sell proper shaving products. I get mine at Pasteur's drug store on 34th street or online.

Structural Engineer, I never used to shave everyday, always hated it until I started to DE shave, now I enjoy it, or at least I have for the last couple of weeks, and it makes me feel more "professional"

I don't shave for work but for love.
I started to change fir wet shaving second of all because I was deadly bored by the horrible shaves that cartridge gave me. First of all because I have two Childs and I was gritting them with my whiskers.

Now I also look better and my skin thanks everyday.

I have a year and a half left of being required to shave, then I retire from the Navy after 30 years! I am pretty sure I will continue to be well groomed but since I have never had facial hair except for a very short lived mustache I will grow a beard. I would really like to see what I look like and unfortunately I will have a lot of gray in my first ever beard. C'est la vie!

I manage a small restaurant. Being clean shaven really isn't a requirement since we're in a very liberal area with tons of organic farmers and suppliers. Everyone is hairy.

I happen to just love wet shaving after hating shaving with carts for so many years. I love to have a clean, smooth face that my wife can get close to.

I work in Mototsport as part of a karting team, I shave almost every day, because I enjoy it and I'm determind to get the perfect shave one day! But I do get a lot of comments how much better and more professional I look since taking up wet shaving!

I am a police officer so no beard for me.
I have rocked a porn-stache for 30 years though.

I enjoy shaving and don't want to deal with the irritation of not shaving for a few a days.

I'm a plumber, I don't need to shave for work. There is so much gray in my beard that I look 10 years younger clean shaven. I'm about to turn 39 so I prefer to hold on to my youthful appearance as long as possible. I used to shave every 3-4 days, now it's every other day because I enjoy DE shaving.

I'm about to change jobs, back to running our own pub, will still shave twice a day, cos it feels good, and if you feel good, then life is good :)
