Hey guys, I've only wet shaved about 5 or 6 times and had a questions about which razor is best for a guy with thicker facial hair. I started off with a Merkur that came with my long handle DE, and I was quite impressed with how it worked. Only got razor burn the first time due to applying a little pressure. I feel like I liked these a good bit, but I do read quite a few negative reviews on them.
Just switched to a Feather razor, and it was quite sharp but also nice. I hadn't shaved for about 4 days and this sliced my beard completely off on the first go with the grain, and cleaned up the rest against the grain. Although I need notice a few bumps on my face which got cut from the shave - but this was probably from irritation of the longer hair and from facial hair oils. I'll try it again in a few days to see which I prefer.
So I'm basically asking: For those with thick and dark facial hair, which blade works best?
also my brush has lost a few hairs the first few shaves, just one the last time - is this from braking in or should I be concerned? Fairly decent brush, Kingsley Badger: http://www.amazon.com/Kingsley-Badg...8&qid=1360094157&sr=8-8&keywords=badger+brush
Thanks!
