What's new

Vintage soap anyone?

I finally found me some of the old stuff. Can't wait to give it a swirl. Is Seaforth's any good? It still smells good.

Yardley English lavender, bowl with an untouched puck of soap plus the aftershave with about 20% left. Not sure if I should use it, sell it, or just stare at it?

What he said!

I agree with Chris...I've got a very similar gift box (it also has talcum in it) with the shave soap still in the plastic wrap. When it's turn comes up in the 3017 schedule, I'm using it up.

Since I rotate aftershaves, I've already been using the AS splash.

Next lazy Saturday I've got I'm going for a "Shave like my Dad" experiment.

In order of ease to acquire:

1966 Slim Adjustable
1950/60s Culmak mixed hair and bristle brush
1953 Unnamed shaving stick from an unused shaving kit
1967 Gillette Silver Stainless

Preparation with some non-vintage Palmolive soap and I may finish with some Witch Hazel, Old Spice or just cold water.

I'll post some pictures when I get it together.

Just scored this beauty. /ATTACH]$uploadfromtaptalk1401980407199.jpg
