Have straights improved your DE/SE shaves?

uh oh. now you have me a little worried, Joe. I have been going back and forth about what to carry when I go to Taiwan on June 2 for a few weeks. I already have a few Gems over there. After reading your post, I think I'll carry the Kai Captain Excelia (folding) that I have been using for about a month (and loving it).

I had used nothing but a straight for about 4 months, but finally got to the point where it was pulling and tugging enough that I needed to either send it out to get honed, or buy a stone and figure it out (which is what I did). So while I was waiting on my stone to show up, I used a DE for a few shaves. Definitely noticed a marked improvement over the last time I had used one (Had previously been using DE for a little over a year).
