What's new

Your favorite comedian?

Doug Stanhope. Far and away the best working right now, IMO. Humor with insight and a bite.

I loved Greg Giraldo (RIP) for the same reasons.

I really loved Emo Phillips back when he was doing stand-up. Weird delivery, but his material was great.

Gotta be Norman wisdom (does he count? made me laugh like crazy since I was two) George Carlin and Bill Hicks are legends and I like Tommy Tiernan in small doses.

I might check out some of the ones you guys recommended, I haven't been put wrong on this site yet :)

Jerry Sadowitz
Stewart Lee
Ross Noble
Rhod Gilbert
Terry Alderton
Lee Evans

Not sure these names will be known to you guys outside of the UK.

Also in my household Bill Hicks is legend.

Dead-Rodney Dangerfield (I'm such a loser...a guy tried to mug me with an electric razor...I laughed until I realized I was standing next to an outlet); Henny Youngman (take my wife, please...); Jackie Vernon (a wet bird never flies at night)
Inactive-Billy Crystal; Woody Allen
Current-Lewis Black (Mr. Righteous Indignation); "Old" Carlos Mencia;

Movies-Marx Brothers; Woody Allen; Jim Carrey; Laurel and Hardy
