your favorite 1k and or bevel setter

I just used it to set a bevel on a gold dollar 800. I figured I'd use that because it's the hardest stainless steel razor I have, and it takes the longest to set a bevel on.

Ha! it's not stainless! Let a drop of water dry on it. Or just lay it down without wiping after honing and look at it in an hour.

Don't want to get into a metallurgical discussion about the properties of stainless, but I wouldn't pay a premium for a GD800 or believe the ZY-430 is stainless either.

The point is that if you think your hone is performing well on stainless you may be mistaken.

That's correct, the Pro has a 5k, the HR and HC Glass stones have a 4k

Same thing. OK 5k 8k. Either way. I have no need for them. I do really like this 1.5 though.

For those who have the Kasumi K11 or want to try it - a handy hint. Rub the stone with a BBW to raise a bit slurry. A fantastic fast stone IMO, even for the hardest stainless steels. The size is perfect for handhelt honing. The BBW slurry prevents clogging and increases the speed. I need to rinse the stone every 20 strokes without the BBW, with it, I can hone endless without any problems.
