Well for me I was lucky...
My Father was always a wet shaver ...and I never thought there was any other way to shave. He was always well groomed as he was in the Air force and to this day I have never seen him not clean shaven! He also wore pomade in his hair...very old school, but a dapper gentleman all the same.
He used a Gillette fatboy and if I remember rightly Palmolive shaving stick and Old Spice soap. He also had a brush that he bought out in the Middle East that had a coral coloured handle. No idea what it was. He alway wore barbershop smelling A/S too.
I was fascinated by all this...
I did briefly in my teens did use canned foam and a Gillette sensor. But then I progressed and got all set up. Never looked back!
